4 Pilar Jurnalistik

Buku ini menguraikan empat pilar utama dalam pembelajaran jurnalistik, yaitu Etika Jurnalistik (Code of Conduct), Manajemen Ruang Redaksi, Teknik Liputan (Reportase), dan Teknik Menulis. Dalam teknik menulis, selain menulis berita sebagai kemampuan utama yang harus dimiliki jurnalis, ada bonus pengajaran teknik menulis feature, teknik menulis opini, teknik menulis esai, dan teknik menulis resensi. Selain itu juga ditambah pembahasan tentang bahasa jurnalistik. Hal-hal tersebut,—selain empat pilar pengajaran jurnalistik— penulis anggap penting karena jurnalis dituntut untuk bisa menulis berbagai jenis tulisan selain tugas utamanya menulis berita. Berdasarkan pengalaman penulis dan pengalaman teman-teman jurnalis lainnya, hampir tidak ada jurnalis yang hanya bisa menulis berita. Jurnalis pada umumnya bisa menulis jenis tulisan lainnya.
